A couple of Fridays ago I met up with Jill from Street Style: Pics by Polka Dot straight after my life drawing class at college (hence my rather inky hands), for a brief wander around the Victoria and Albert Museum and a coffee. I can't quite remember if Jill took these impromptu photographs of me when we had just met or as she was leaving, but I just adore the first photograph! Natural shots always seem to be the best, don't they? I'm off to bed now, but as the title says, thank-you Jill. You always seem to have time for me, you know how to boost my confidence and you really did make me feel better when I was down at London Fashion Week. Plus I just can't help but love your funny and witty emails! Hopefully I'll be seeing you again soon. I'll buy the coffees next time. Love, Jazzabelle.

  11. Ah, thank YOU! (The shots are a combination of before and after, btw: it was a really dark day, I didn't think anything would come out).

What you didn't mention is that altho I assumed it was too late to see the Grace Kelly show, it happened to still be on and as a member you took me in to see it. So it's really, thank YOU!

An old boyfriend, who was really into Japanese karate (we both studied in a dojo on 5th Ave in NY - his brother wrote the Karate Kid about him) told me about the Japanese concept of favour: as long as everyone remembers the favours done for them, and forget the favours they do for others, the world will be a happy place.

  24. Just to let you know your package swept through my letterbox today. My oh dear Jazzabelle you are so kind and thoughtful. It was such a lovely gift, you know I had no idea that the Peter Rabbit movie edition existed, and I am so besotted! As you know I am so fond of Beatrix Potter and even the little gift tag is so adorable, I’m going to slot it into my heart shaped note-hanger later on.

The vintage St Michael is so lovely- such a quality brand, I can’t wait to see how I can wear this, I was thinking maybe with a belt to bring it in a bit, we will see, I really don’t own anything like this.

Thank-you so very much, you are the most lovely person xxx

  31. It's lovely that you've found these people who boost you every time you see them! And you're right, natural shots are the best. Apart from when you're talking or sneezing or generally not paying attention, then I look like a PROPER gorm. jazzy ♥
