sorry, sorry, sorry

I think it's for the best if I delete what a previously wrote on here. I'm in quite a good place at the moment, thank-you for all of your kind words. Love, Jazzabelle, 16/06/2010

hobo jumper, oh how i've missed you.

Hello, you beautiful people, I hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday, what have you all been up to? I'm staying at my grandma's tonight, we had a barbeque earlier and it was just so delicious. I've been taking oh so many photographs today, my grandma has the most beautiful, unusual garden, I shall definately post more photographs of it soon! We've also tidied up the garden a tad, listened to the radio, drank tea and earlier I kind of got stuck up part of her first floor roof, which was pretty funny, haha!
*My favourite hobo jumper, charity shop, 50p *Vanity case, car boot sale, £2 *Straw hat, Primark, £3 *Black brogues, Primark, £8
How funny does grandma look with that hat on? She is just too funny. For our barbeque, we had baby potatoes, sweet potatoes, chicken, fish, fritters, dumplings, bagels and a coleslaw salad, we have so much left over so I shall definately be having another serving soon, yum.
This is just one of the many fruit trees my grandma has growing in her small garden, she is also growing apples, plums, figs, pears and peaches. Plus at her allotment she is growing a load of vegetables. Oh, she also previously grew a banana tree in her conservatory, she shared them out to our family earlier this year, they were oh so yummy and well worth the wait. Check out this website to see an newpaper article about it! Anyway, I'm off to drink some tea and get ready to go out for a walk in the local park. I hope you all have had as much of a wonderful day as I have! Love, Jazzabelle.

like mother, like daughter

These photographs were taken last Friday, check out my post here. Isn't my mum just beautiful? She is not wearing an ounce if makeup, and is oh so young looking. We often get mistaken for sisters or friends, sometimes she can't even buy a bottle of wine because they think she is underage, ha! She dresses like someone half her age, and acts it too, though she can act her age and can be very serious when needed. She's a nursery nurse at my old primary school, when I was in nursery she was a student teacher in my class, how sweet is that? Most people say we look alike, what do you think? Oh, I've added some more clothes to my blog shop, so check them out here! Love, Jazzabelle.

Bonjour, I hope you all have had a lovely Saturday, what have you been up to? My mum and I went to Barnes to check out a fashion sale, but when we got there was literally just two rails of hideous clothes which where apparently from Paris selling for like £40. I felt so annoyed, but than as we where walking back to the station we saw some cute little stalls selling food, so I got myself a chocolate chip brownie and my mum got herself a meringue. When then decided to go to a very lovely pub called the Sun Inn, which does the most yummy roast dinners on Sunday's, I reccomend that you go! It's very cosy, with lots of odd and comfy chairs to sit on and has a brilliant view of the duck pond where my mum took my oufit pictures. As it was lunchtime we shared some nachos and a chicken caesar salad, and even though it doesn't sound like a lot of food, I'm still pretty full now! We also popped into one of our local charity shops and found ourself a few bargains. Now I'm just going to spend the rest of the evening drinking tea, watching television, checking out my favourite blogs and doing my artwork. P.S. Please visit my new blog shop, if you'd like, I've currently got two beautiful brooches and a vintage slip for sale. Oh, please vote for me here, and I shall love you forever!

the beauty is fading

The rose is slowly wilting in my bedroom. It's quite sad, really. After I bought the rose on Monday, and posted about how I am experimenting with it for my final art piece, it make me think about the Enchanted rose in Beauty and the Beast. It all links together; beauty, ugliness, juxtapostion, death, love...etc. I think I may have to watch it this weekend, Belle is definately my favourite Disney princess, who is yours? I like to think I am rather similar to her; I'm compassionate, I love to read, I care for those who are close to me, I'm a dreamer, I love to spend time alone and I really do go wild with my own imagination.

Talking about my artwork (which you can see a small bit of above, that's my mum and grandma in the picture, which was taken in about 1972!), it was all going so well and then I completely fucked one of the main parts by accident, I was nearly in tears in the middle of the classroom. It's sort of back on track, though. All thanks to my 3D teacher, Paul, who helped me an awful lot today and my friend Mary who managed to stop me from bursting into tears. I really do hope it looks okay when I'm finished. Nevertheless, I am very proud with what I have achieved. Even though I am not the best artist, I am passionate about what I do, and that is the most important thing to me. Yes, I'm wearing practically the same double denim outfit I wore here, except this time I teamed it with a stripy Gap top I bought from the car boot sale for fifty pence, an Oasis leather bag I found at a charity shop for a fiver and my leather Topshop boots. Oh, I also sported my new hair cut, which you can't really see here, but I'd say my mum cut about two inches off on Monday night. Sorry for the long post, It's not even that good! Love Jazzabelle. P.S. Blog sale soon, I promise.

i wish i could be an english rose.

After college, I bought a single pink rose from a little florist by Kingston Station, which I will be photographing everyday for a week to see how it wilts. I will be using a similar rose in my final art piece for when it goes in my college exhibition, as it will really set of the rest of my artwork. Throughout my project I have been intrigued buy how things age, the past, memories...etc, and I think it will be really interesting that at the beginning of the exhibition the rose will be alive, and by the end it will be dead. I really do hope you understand my artwork and my ideas, click here for a previous post which has a little more information. I will definately be doing a big post on my work once I have completed everything, maybe after I get my final grade so I can share my good news (hopefully) with you! If you have any questions about my art, feel free to ask! I'd actually love to answer your questions. P.S. My mum is cutting my hair, It's going to be shoulder length, eeek! Love, Jazzabelle.

I had a lovely weekend, to be honest. My weekend consisted of Starbucks, Hyde Park, a family picnic, salmon sandwiches, fresh salad, baseball, the V&A, Grace Kelly, icecream, charity shops, Battersea car boot sale and apple pie. I hope you have also had a wonderful weekend, what have you all been up to? P.S. The reason why my skin looks rather perfect here is because of the direct sunlight and the 'cinemascope' effect I use on practically all of my photographs. I actually have real issues with my skin, let's just say my doctor recommended a cream to help my acne, but all it did was bleach my skin and completely fuck it up. Just my luck. P.P.S. I shall be doing my first blog sale every soon! Love, Jazzabelle.

Fashion in Motion: Osman

Last night, I attended a Fashion in Motion catwalk show at the Victoria and Albert Museum, focusing on Osman, 'a rising star of the international fashion scene'. It was the third catwalk show I have been to at the V&A, the first being Giles Deacon and the second being Erdem. Osman's catwalk show was rather different to the two others, though; two wonderful dancers opened the show to showcase how his clothes move on the human form. The female dancer was effortlessly beautiful, twirling and leaping in a floaty navy blue dress, whilst the male dancer seemed to be doing a contemporary take on an African dance. The collection was just beautiful, the clothes flowed gracefully on the models, who were walking in the most amazing sculptural wedges and embellished heels. All of the outfits were in block colours, with bursts of bright pink, gold, silver, blue, and purple throughout, with the accessories being large clutch bags, sunglasses and feather collars. All in all, it was a beautiful show and I just cannot wait for the next one. Love, Jazzabelle. P.S. Well, I am definately not going to be a catwalk photographer anytime soon, am I? Hehe. These are the best shots I got, but coincidently, of my favourite pieces!

double denim: yay or nay?

*Denim shirt, charity shop, 50p *Elvis top, Topshop £25 *DIY denim shorts.

I had a hospital appointment today, I went with my mum, it wasn't too bad. I'm not ill, or anything, but it was just for something else. I'm feeling a lot better now, though. So, I was inspired by Spence @ City Light Maverick and Jen @ A Little Bird Told Me to go for an 'Americana' inspired look. I think it is actually the first time I have ever attempted double denim, what do you guys think? It's rather funny that I'm standing in front of one of the most recognizable buildings in England whilst attempting the Americana look, ha. Anyway, this was only a short post as I will be going to the Fashion in Motion catwalk show at the V&A tonight so I shall probably post about it after. I'm also going back to the V&A on Saturday as my auntie and her partner are coming down from Milton-Keynes to check out the Grace Kelly exhibition. Goodness, I think I am actually obsessed with the Victoria and Albert Museum, hehe. Love, Jazzabelle.

why do you build me up, buttercup baby

I had such a wonderful day yesterday. I went to the V&A (yes, again) to attend a Lunchtime talk focusing on the wonderful Quilts exhibition, to help me along with my artwork. The night before I actually got a phone call to attend a model casting, but I just wasn't in the mood, didn't feel confident enough, I didn't feel like I would suit the brief, it was rather far away and I have been wanting to attend this talk for a long time now. Yes, excuses I know, but whilst the money would have been great if I actually got the job (which I doubt I would have) isn't my general happiness and education more important? 'Well you look pretty damn confident in these photos', I hear you say. Well, yes I was rather confident yesterday, but I just know my self esteem would had dropped rather dramatically if I attended the casting, plus, I am not interesting in professionally modelling in the slightest anymore. Anyway, moving swiftly on. After the talk I met my dearest friend Shana-Kaye so we got ourselves a Pret wrap and a Starbucks (Iced Vanilla Latte and a Caramel Cream, if you're interested!) then we went to Hyde Park for a walk and to take some photos. You may have noticed by now that I always face to same way (to the right) in photographs, the main reason being is because I just think I look ugly the other way. It's pretty bad, I know, considering people see the other side of my face every darn day, but that just shows that no matter how confident I may be feeling, there is always a part inside of me worrying about what I look like. Anyway, I really ought to be asleep, I have to be up at six for college tomorrow! P.S. Yes, I know I wear the lace top, the floral skirt, the brogues, polka dot tights and grey socks too much! What can I say, I like to stick to what I know, hehe. P.P.S. Blah, I've been feeling rather sick since Sunday night, I think I have the flu. Love, Jazzabelle.

tea, scones and grace kelly

My lovely Grandma and I went to the V&A for tea and scones, earlier. It was rather busy today, and once again the Grace Kelly: Style Icon exhibition was sold out, but as a member I can just pop in with a guest whenever I please, without having to queue to buy tickets. Thanks Mum, my V&A membership is truly the best birthday present I have ever recieved! I have to say though, I feel that the V&A cafe is actually quite a let down to the museum; there isn't enough seating, the service is extremely slow and all of the rooms are rather messy. Saying that, if you go at a time when it is less busy, I really do reccomend sitting in the Morris room, it's beautifully gloomy and the wallpaper is just lovely! Bless my Grandma, for taking photographs of me. I felt really bad for asking her, especially as I need at least a hundred pictures of me to find one decent one! So do excuse the first photograph, I was asking her if she remembered which button to press, haha. Doesn't my Grandma look cute? I think she is rather fashionable for a lady of her age, and ever so young looking, she recently celebrated her 67th birthday! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend, did any of you pick up any bargains at your local car boot sales? Love, Jazzabelle. P.S. If you are wondering why on earth I have posted a random picture of a lemon, it's because they are many lemon trees in the V&A garden, and this one just looked so ripe and tasty! I wonder if the lemons actually get used? If not, what a waste! P.P.S. Gosh, I do look very skinny here, no wonder I was getting an awful lot of looks today. I'm naturally this thin by the way, just in case you thought otherwise. P.P.P.S. Sorry! I totally forgot to say what I'm wearing: *Plum Zara dress, £7.50 *Uniqlo cardigan, 50p *Plum Bag, 50p *Bicycle brooch, 50p, all secondhand.
