There's nothing like the typical British weather to put you in even more of a dreary mood - I've had a lovely couple of weeks, but over the last few days I have started to feel a little down again, which is quite a shame. I really felt (and looked!) so confident in my last post, so to suddenly feel the way I do is pretty upsetting, especially as it happens so often. Though I have to say, yesterday was made a little better after a brief trip to Southbank with my mum to take a few pictures of me in my new blouse. The Autumn/Winter collections are starting to make their way into work, so as soon as I spotted this shirt I just knew I had to buy it - luckily my staff discount made the price a little more reasonable! Navy blue really has started to take over my wardrobe recently, it's definitely a colour I'll be wearing an awful lot over the coming months.
Thank-you for all of your lovely comments, tweets and emails as of late, along with voting for me in the Cosmopolitan blog awards! It all really means ever so much to me. Love, Jazmine.

    1. it's nice to read your opinion, though i have to say that as it's my blog i really do have the right to express myself and write whatever i so fancy. if i'm feelin' down, i shall say so, why should i hide that fact? same goes for when i'm feelin' happy or confident, i'll also say that i am.

it's great to read that you like my blog though, have a nice evening.

  24. What a stunning backdrop, Jazz! I'm ever so sorry to hear that you've been feeling down of late - the gloomy "British Summertime" weather does that to us all at some stage. The only thing I can recommend is to surround yourself with beautiful things and the people you love.
Nonetheless, you still look lovely and exude such sophistication and confidence. Have a magnificent month!

    Best Wishes,

    Tara

  27. I always really like your style and today is no exception, that blouse is so pretty! I also appreciate the fact that you do express and stay true to yourself, we all feel down sometimes but it does take quite a brave person to admit that to the world, especially to the internet! I hope you feel more like yourself soon and have a lovely evening!

  32. I hope you feel better soon sweetheart. Can I just say that it categorically doesn't ruin your blog when you disclose how you've been feeling lately in here? I feel as though the comment above was really insensitive. It's pretty obvious that while this blog is predominantly a place where you showcase your personal style, you also keep it as a bit of a journal too so it's kind of a given that you're going to want to write about your emotions! (long sentence is long!)

I know what you mean about work getting in some lovely A/W clothes now. I've put the blue, sleeveless midi dress into the staff holds box so I can use my discount in 2 weeks (loving the bottle green cardigan and the rose jumper, too *swoon*) I may have to take it up a teeny bit though because it's verging on a maxi dress :P

I've been loving the outfits and photography you've been posting 'lately! You certainly rock (no pun intended!) a pair of black skinny jeans better than any other blogger, it's not fair! I really love the length of the jeans too, very 50's! do you turn them up yourself or are is that how they are sold?

I've voted for you and Olivia already ;) (different emails, of course!) Sorry for the mammoth of a comment, I've been slacking with commenting on blogs lately so I think I've overcompensated aha! x

    1. oh don't be silly, i love long comments! thank-you lauren <3 ever since i started my blog i have expressed both my positive and negative side, and i really appreciate how much you know and understand that it can help.

how exciting! i hope work is all going well for you! are you going to take part in the new how do you wear yours feature in the stanley standard? if so, mention to charlotte that you are a blogger too! :)

oh, thank-you! i've actually turned the jeans up myself, though not far as they just graze on my ankles if i don't. i love the fit of them, i'd definitely recommend them to you!

      have a lovely day!
